What I would have liked to have seen is more of Neo as Religious Evangelist
inside the Matrix - attracting large groups of followers and giving them the
sermon about how their minds are trapped - then demonstrating to them with
supernatural signs and wonders that he is "The One". Perhaps scenes of
devout followers debating skeptics over his claims- and of course The agents
trying to do damage control by explaining away his abilities as magic
tricks. The Agents would of course then show some of their own supernatural
ability - and tell the crowds that it is all illusions...

Why not have somebody walk past an enquirer type magazine with Neo on the
front and the headline "SuperHero or Saviour?"

We got a taste of Neo as religious icon in Zion - but I wanted more superman
saves metropolis moments inside the Matrix itself- to see the masses react
with awe as he works his miracles.

Also, Since the trilogy borrows so much from Christian themes, it would seem
that we are due to see more Matrix movies in the future. After all, this
version of Neo was the six incarnation of the anomolly. Since the Bible
puts so much emphasis on the number seven, it would seem that the seventh
incarnation of the anomolly would be the perfect number for completion.

I can see your point but feel that Neo was never comfortable in that
role. He may have been the Christ figure but at heart he was an average guy.
He seemed to be very ill at ease in Zion when he had to assume the role of
religious icon. The Matrix is about how an average guy assumes the role of
hero. His lack of superman bravado or Jesus like piety makes him all that
much more appealing.

I don't know of any savior who really is comfortable in that role. A true
altruist, if altruism can truly exist, does not want credit for his deeds.
He wants to do what he can and be left alone as a normal person, because
that's exactly what the savior thinkgs of himself.

(p.s.-- I use masculine pronouns because, until a better solution is
formulated, they are standard! My savior can be female if she chooses to
be!)

It was refreshing to see a hero that had doubts about himself and his
actions, that did not know exactly what to do.

Quite a change from a Terminator-style hero, and indeed, one of the
reasons we identify so readily with Neo.

He is like Peter Parker's character in Spiderman, doesn't exactly know
what comes next.

Do you hope to see The Matrix IV in the future? - the Matrix trilogy have reached it conclusion with the Matrix Revolutions, but the movies had left us with many unanswered questions.. for me, I'd love to see a Matrix IV, be it a prequel to The Matrix or a sequel to The Matrix Revolutions. ..

Ideas for the future of the Matrix franchise... - If it ever happens, what would you like to see in the next set of Animatrix shorts? What more would you like to see in the fictional universe of the Matrix?

So how's 2004 for you people from the future? - I mean Australians, and really any other time zone that sees midnight long before I do. It won't be January 1 for another 13 hours, but Hong Kong just saw the new year! So to those in 2004, happy new year! To those still stuck in 2003, party safely..

My thoughts - Spoilers below I loved these movies. The action, the effects, and the story telling are just mind-blowing. But I do have to admit that there were a lot of downfalls, not necessarily in the movies but what surrounded the movies....

Thoughts on if Seraph could be past "One." - I don't think talk of Seraph beating Smith "Before" means much at this point. Starlog magazine notes the Matrix producer, and Bros. front man, as noting the W. Bros. had a deeper back story dealing with Seraph. They have plans for three video...
